Schleicher Fahrzeugteile relocates to Penzberg

As from 10.01.2023, after 75 years in Munich, Schleicher Fahrzeugteile has moved its domicile to Penzberg. This relocation will now also make our nearly complete concentration of both plants in Penzberg evident to the world at large.

However, our company is not a real newcomer: we have already been manufacturing in Seeshaupter Straße since 1986 and have extended, modernised and expanded this plant step by step to make it a central production and development centre. The space available here for unrestricted planning and possible extensions has enabled the efficient line-up of state-of-the-art but, at the same time, ever bigger and heavier machining units, which have pushed the capacity on different floors in Munich to its limits. Once the last remaining manufacturing units have relocated in the coming six months, the transfer process will be finished.

The town of Penzberg, with over 17,000 inhabitants, belongs to the Munich metropolitan area and is easily accessible due to the A95 motorway from Munich to Garmisch being only 1 km from our plant and to the rail connection from Munich to Kochel, which runs every half-hour. Numerous schools and colleges as well as firms ranging from small craft businesses to medium-sized companies through to global players in the bioengineering sector have settled in this area.
