80 Years of Schleicher Fahrzeugteile – We Say Thank You!

This year we are celebrating a very special anniversary: ​​80 years ago, on August 25, 1945, Dipl. Ing. Rudolf Schleicher Sr. founded our company in the economically challenging post-war period.

What began as a small company for engine overhauls and spare parts production in the decommissioned Wehrmacht barracks in the founder’s private garden (see photo) has developed into an internationally recognized specialist in the diverse, complex, and state-of-the-art production of camshafts, pump shafts, and shafts of all kinds.

As a medium-sized family business, Schleicher Fahrzeugteile has offered its employees reliable jobs and a livelihood, as well as young people vocational and personal development training opportunities over the decades and has gradually developed and improved in line with emerging requirements.

Successful milestones in recent years have included the consolidation of plants and the relocation of the company headquarters to the expanded plant in Penzberg, as well as the successful transformation of its sales markets away from the passenger car industry and toward new markets, such as environmental technology and energy generation, aviation, medical technology, and the security and defense industries.

This has enabled us to realize synergies at the personnel and organizational levels, which have made us well-positioned for the challenging times and constantly changing influences of the present and the future.

We would like to take this anniversary as an opportunity to say thank you:

– And above all, to our dedicated team, who contribute to the success of Schleicher Fahrzeugteile every day with their passion and expertise.

They have all remained loyal to our company, even during the difficult times of the past 80 years, right up to the present day, with a solution-oriented approach, thus enabling our continued existence and continuous improvement.

This puts us on the right path to continue meeting the challenges of our time, delivering highly efficient shafts tailored to our customers’ needs, continuing to fulfill our obligations as an employer and to develop as a company into the future.
