{"id":1759,"date":"2022-11-14T09:52:24","date_gmt":"2022-11-14T08:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.p654778.webspaceconfig.de\/?p=1759"},"modified":"2023-12-20T09:01:55","modified_gmt":"2023-12-20T08:01:55","slug":"sure-to-have-more-fun-driving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schleicher-fahrzeugteile.de\/en\/sure-to-have-more-fun-driving\/","title":{"rendered":"Sure to have more fun driving!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yet again a<em>\u00a0Schleicher<\/em>\u00a0team of 12 was given the chance to train their skills in safe driving at the German Automobile Association (<em>ADAC<\/em>) centre in line with the recommendations by the Trade Association for Wood and Metal (<em>BGHM<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The participants drove their own cars on four test tracks at the Security Centre in Augsburg and were thoroughly tested \u2013 and given practice \u2013 in emergency braking on a skid-resistant as well as on wet road surfaces, in braking distances at various speeds, and in slalom driving in reverse. Obstacles \u2013 fortunately water obstacles! \u2013 also appeared suddenly and had to be avoided. This was a good opportunity to get to know how your car reacts, to experience how the driver assistance systems work, and to observe what happens in the other models. An\u00a0<em>ADAC\u00a0<\/em>trainer accompanied the group for a whole day: he was in radio contact with the drivers throughout the tests and was able to give valuable tips. At the end of the day, the participants were issued with a certificate which in the case of some motor insurers can mean a reduction in premium.
